Best Practices

We suggest that you use CrossLister as the single source of truth for your products. This means that you will create new products in CrossLister and then cross-list them to other marketplaces. It also means that CrossLister will serve as the central system for managing all of your products.

To make this workflow more efficient, we have developed powerful template feature to help you quickly create products. If you would like to learn more about the best practices for using CrossLister, please read this article:

Another Option

If you are used to creating new products on a certain platform (such as Depop or Shopify), you can also use that platform as the single source of truth, and then use CrossLister's import tool to import the products from that platform into CrossLister.

On CrossLister, you can create some "patch templates" to supplement missing fields in those imported products. After importing the products, you can apply these patch templates to the imported products so that they are ready to be cross-listed.

For example, if you import products from Shopify and want to cross-list them on Depop, you need to fill in the country/city, shipping cost and other information required by the Depop platform. You only need to save this information in advance in a "patch template", and then apply this template to the imported products.
